What are the standard qualifications?

  • You must have a household income of at least $2,000.00 a month.
  • You must have a clean criminal background.

Please consider that the property manager or landlord will still independently verify your income and criminal background.

How long does the approval process take to be in the R.I.N Program?

There is no approval process. If your household monthly income is at least $2000.00 and you have a clean criminal background, then you are automatically approved into the program. Once you have successfully submitted your registration fee payment of $200.00 for the R.I.N Program, an agent will review your application to make sure you reach the income requirements and pass a basic background check. After an agent has verified this information you will be immediately approved and assigned a case manager to work with you more closely on locating suitable housing options and applying to your selected rental properties.

Is there financing available to help customers pay for the R.I.N Program?

Absolutely. We have direct relationships with a network of Second Chance Lenders to help our customers pay for the legal fee. Our lender partner will loan our customer the requested amount to fulfill payment of the legal fee. After a customer has been approved for a second chance loan, they will pay back the lender an affordable monthly payment plan.

After you pay the registration fee, you will be assigned a case manager who can share more information about our financing opportunity for customers who prefer a payment plan.

How does the R.I.N program work?

After we've received your registration payment you will be assigned a case manager, and will provide your case manager with 3 to 5 Apartment or Housing options you would like to apply to. You may use any online housing search tool to find suitable housing options for you. Your assigned case manager will do all of the leg work in terms of contacting the property manager or landlord, and filling out the application with your new Second Chance Renters Identification Number. This is a special number that will be used instead of your social security number. Your name will be the only name placed on the application as the primary occupant. Customers may use the R.I.N Program to rent any housing rental, such as Apartments, Houses, Condos, and so on.

What is a RIN?

A Renters Identification Number (RIN) is a nine-digit number that has the exact same genetic makeup of a Social Security Number.

A RIN Number (Renters Identification Number) is a unique nine digit identification number that can be used to rent again. A RIN NUMBER is registered with the Three Credit Reporting Bureaus after you have been approved to obtain one, the renters identification number is TRI-Merge and after that you will be able to rent.

Is this Legal?

You legally have the right to apply for this number only once, so do not abuse it. After establishing your RIN number you can use it to rent again.

It is your legal right to keep your Social Security Number private, and use a separate number for any credit related or rental purposes. You can use the existing laws to your advantage for a chance. Due to certain rights guaranteed by the (1974 US Privacy Act Title V), you have the right to keep your Social Security Number private and not be denied service due to your refusal. The credit bureaus are not government agencies, so you do not have to give them your Social Security Number.

RINs are commonly used by celebrities, members of congress, individuals involved in witness protection program and those who may have experienced identity theft.

Currently the U.S. Government allows you to apply for a renters identification number. But you are not allowed to abuse these numbers.

What are the cost and fees for this program?

The absolute total amount of fees, which includes the registration fee and legal fee for the second chance R.I.N Program is $995.00. We do offer financing opportunities to assist our customers with paying for the RIN Program. There are no additional, repeat, or hidden fees beyond this amount invoiced from our company. However please note, if the property manager or landlord requires an application fee to apply to their property the customer will be responsible for paying the application fee, or any other fees directly associated with the rental of the property.

The registration and legal fee is separated into two payments. The first invoiced payment is the registration fee which is $200.00. The second invoiced payment is the legal fee, which is $795.00. If you need time to pay the legal fee after paying the registration fee your assigned case manager will continue to process your application, organize rental and legal paperwork, and run your background check to get the approval into the program. The second payment of $795.00 must be paid in full in order to release the R.I.N number and start applying to your selected properties with the new number which will grant you the approval to move into your new apartment or home.

Registration Fee: $200.00

The first payment is a Registration Fee of $200.00. This fee is used for our team to process your application, organize and prepare rental and legal paperwork required to be approved for a Renters Identification Number, and run your background check. You won’t have to do a thing until it’s time for you to sign your lease and move into your new rental.

Legal Fee: $795.00

The second payment is a legal fee of $795.00, which is used to pay legal fees to our lawyers to submit a legally sound case to the credit bureaus and government entities in order to obtain the Second Chance R.I.N. Number, process the legal paperwork needed to get the R.I.N. number, and to do all of the leg work in helping you locate a suitable housing option based on your preferences, contact the property manager or landlord, and apply using your new R.I.N Number. Once we have all the required information from you to process this paperwork it usually takes less than 72 hours to get the R.I.N number. Your case manager will use the new R.I.N to apply to your selected property rentals in your desired location.
